I received an email from Lloyd Fountain, Chief of Public Buildings, this morning indicating that the Friendship Fountain Holiday Program would start running on Nov 23, 2011.
Patriotic program Schedule:
November 7, 2011 - November 14, 2011
Holiday program Schedule:
November 23, 2011 - December 31, 2011
Lloyd did not indicate times however I would assume (that usually gets me in trouble) that the times would be similar to the Patriotic Program:
12:00 - 12:30 PM Music program
5:30 - 6:00 PM Music program
8:00 - 10:30 PM Music program
I sure would appreciate anyone that gets by the Fountain in the next few days to let us know if those times are accurate as well as your thoughts regarding the program..

Just to let you know, we were at the fountain for the 2nd time on November 12th. We waited from 8-8:30 and were once again disappointed. No Holiday music for the light show. Maybe this sight could be updTed with FOR SURE dates and times so we don't spend gas going again?

Very sorry to hear the Fountain Music wasn't playing.

I made a special trip Downtown with my family to see the glory of Friendship Fountain on Friday December the 2nd. We arrived around 7:30pm to find the fountain set to one formation with only blue lights. No music, Christmas or otherwise. We checked and double-checked this site and walked over to The Landing to wait until 8pm. The Fountain never changed. We waited until after 9pm...again, no change. We noticed many other people with children waiting for the fountain to deliver as well. Everyone went home disappointed. I wish the COJ knew how it's residents enjoyed the fountain, perhaps then they would provide official information to the masses about the operating schedule and/or closures.

I just found out yesterday that they turned the Fountain Teal this weekend for the Monday Night game and are also having some technical issues so are unable to provide a set schedule.
If I learn anything more I will certainly post it and i will also make sure your comment is passed on to the "Powers that be" ;)
